Bob Poppe attended Hastings College in 1954 after graduating from Deshler High School. Married to Dee, they have 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He worked at the Cornhusker Press and Hastings Daily Tribune before entering the Real Estate profession with Gateway Realty in 1974. He joined Ruhter Auction & Realty, Inc. in 2012.

Bob has received the professional designations of GRI, CRS, CRB from the National Association of Realtors. He has served as president of the Hastings Board and Director of the Nebraska Association of Realtors and was selected as Realtor of the Year in 1986. Bob has been active in Hastings community by serving as president of the Chamber of Commerce, Hastings Economic Development Corp., Hastings Jaycees and a term on the Hastings City Council and Board of Hastings Utilities. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the First United Methodist Church.
