This Mr. Peanut collectibles auction presents a unique opportunity for collectors to acquire memorabilia celebrating one of America’s most recognizable advertising icons. The auction features a curated private collection of Mr. Peanut items, including vintage and collectible pieces that reflect the character’s long history and appeal. Additionally, this sale offers buyers the chance to secure well-preserved memorabilia through a single, convenient auction event. As a result, both seasoned collectors and new enthusiasts can add distinctive pieces to their collections.
The auction will being closing Monday, January 26th, at 7:00pm via soft close. Winning bidders can arrange for pickup from the Ruhter Auction Yard Facility on Wednesday, January 28th from 3:00-6:00pm. We cannot accommodate early or late pick up. Any items not picked up by 6:00pm will be forfeited by the buyer, and no refunds will be granted.
Auction Terms & Conditions
Buyer’s Premium & Shipping
A 15% Buyer’s Premium applies to all purchases. Shipping is available at the buyers expense via Shipping Saint.
Auction Format, Closing & Pickup
This is an online-only auction. The auction begins closing Monday, January 26th, at 7:00 PM, with time extensions.
Pickup will take place Wednesday, January 28th, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM ONLY. There are no accommodations for early or late pick up. Any items not picked up by 6:00 PM will be forfeited, and no refunds will be granted.
Sales Tax, Fees & Payment
Buyer’s Premium and applicable taxes apply to all purchases. A 5.50% Nebraska sales tax applies to all items (vehicles exempt) unless a valid tax-exempt number is on file with our company. This tax applies regardless of state of residence.
If you have a tax-exempt number, the auction company must be notified prior to the start of the auction, and the information must be provided at registration. Credit cards will be charged a 5% administrative fee.
Condition of Property & Final Sale
All property is sold “AS IS”, and ALL SALES ARE FINAL. It is the bidder’s responsibility to determine condition, age, genuineness, value, or any other determining factor.
Ruhter Auction and Realty, Inc. may attempt to describe the merchandise in advertising, online, or at the auction; however, no representations or warranties are made, expressed or implied. In no event shall Ruhter Auction and Realty, Inc. be held responsible for any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The bidder shall be the sole judge of value.
Off-Site Bidding & Inspection
Bidders bidding off site acknowledge that they may not be able to inspect items as thoroughly as if examined in person. Ruhter Auction and Realty, Inc. will not be responsible for errors or omissions in descriptions unless there is a material and intentional misrepresentation of the item itself.
By bidding, the bidder agrees that all items are sold as is and that no items may be returned.
Ownership & Internet Disclaimer
Upon successful purchase through Ruhter Auction, full responsibility for the item transfers to the buyer. Full possession will be given upon confirmation of full payment.
Under no circumstances shall the bidder have any claim against Ruhter Auction and Realty, Inc., or any other party, if internet service fails during this timed auction. The auction company is not responsible for missed bids from any source and reserves the right to withdraw or re-catalog items.
Tax-Exempt Buyers
Dealers seeking tax-exempt status must complete and sign a Nebraska Form 13 and email it to auctions@ruhterauction.com prior to the conclusion of the auction. Tax-exempt status must be on file before auction close. If needed, contact Ruhter Auction and Realty, Inc. for a copy of the form. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Nebraska sales tax applies to all bidders unless a valid Form 13 is provided at the time of registration.
